What is Laser Treatment?

Laser treatment is a rejuvenating solution for the skin, and our Spectra XT Expert laser can effectively aid in treating a number of skin concerns. The laser utilises 4 wavelengths to target the area of concern without damaging the surrounding skin.

Laser for Hyperpigmentation

  • "RuVy Touch" (treatment for freckles)
  • "Melasma Toning"

  • The Spectra utilises two wavelengths to target and treat pigment sitting either superficially (freckles) or deep (melasma) within the skin. Both wavelengths are extremely safe for darker skin types – particularly Asian skin – as they target the pigment without damaging the surrounding skin.

    Q-switched lasers utilise short, high-energy pulses delivered to the skin in nanoseconds. The light energy is absorbed by pigmented lesions, creating shock waves which shatter the large pigment particles into smaller particles. The shattered particles are then broken down, absorbed and eliminated by the body’s immune system.

    Over time, this process leads to the fading and clearance of pigmented lesions.

Laser for Acne and Skin Rejuvenation

  • "Revital Treatment"

  • The Spectra delivers light energy deep within the dermis to create bulk heating. This heat causes new collagen to be produced (leading to an improvement in skin firmness and tone) and acne bacteria to be destroyed (reducing the size of oil glands and the appearance of enlarged pores).
    For acne, we recommend that laser treatments be combined with other treatments and products to generate the best results.

Laser for Redness

  • "Gold Toning” – (treatment for facial flushing and acne redness)

  • Light energy is attracted to and absorbed by blood in the tiny vessels within the skin. Following absorption, the light energy is converted to heat, which causes the blood within the vessels to coagulate or clot. The body’s immune system then breaks down and removes the clotted blood as waste, leading to a reduction in the appearance of redness in the skin.
