While we all long for clear glowing skin, it is important to remember that every person’s skin is unique. A skincare solution that works for your friend may not work for you, as your skin has its own set of individual characteristics and is constantly being affected by both internal and external factors.
The most common skin conditions range from dehydration to pigmentation, clogged pores and scarring to fine lines and wrinkles. Whichever of these concerns your skin may be experiencing, it can be addressed by DermaFrac, an advanced form of skin needling. DermaFrac can be individualised through the infusion of a serum based on your unique skin situation, while simultaneously restoring a youthful and healthy appearance to the skin.
HOW DOES DERMAFRAC DIFFER FROM STANDARD MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS?
Microneedling (also known as skin needling) is a minimally invasive aesthetic treatment in which a device containing a large number of fine needles is used to create minute punctures in the skin. This process stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin, as the body is prompted to fill and “heal” the small wounds that have been formed by the needles. Because of this, skin texture is improved, scars are reduced and a youthful and healthy appearance is restored to the skin.
DermaFrac combines this microneedling procedure with simultaneous deep tissue serum infusion. The punctures created by the device act as microchannels into your skin, enabling deeper delivery and infusion of the serum. This technique allows for the advanced and effective treatment of many skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, dehydrated skin and clogged pores.
At your initial skin consultation, your dermal clinician will customise an appropriate serum based on your skin concern. The DermaFrac device contains a microneedle roller head as well as a cartridge of the customised serum. As the dermal clinician precisely guides the device across your skin, a vacuum suction feature gently and evenly pulls the skin into contact with the microneedles. The microneedles penetrate into the dermal junction (the area that joins the dermis and epidermis) to form the microchannels into which the targeted serums are then infused. It is a painless procedure and can be performed even on patients with sensitive skin.
As well as treating the condition with the specified serum, this exfoliating process encourages the production of new collagen and elastin, as well as revealing new skin cells for overall rejuvenation.
